Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra - Hang On To Each Other EP

Blimey, the forthcoming EP features this dancefloor-filling-apocalyptic-hands-in-the-air-but-they-really-do-care belter. Club DJs be aware - released 29 April 2014 on Constellation Records - 12" single

Hiss Tracts - Halo Getters

Nice work by Godspeed You! Black Emperor projectionist Karl Lemieux.

Hiss Tracts have just signed to Constellation Records and this is a sample track from their forthcoming album.

Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra - Fuck Off Get Free We Pour Light on Everything

The usual inscrutable title from my favourite outfit from the Godspeed you/Constellation Records scene. Talking of inscrutability...

Here is a bit of the appropriately titled 'Austerity Blues' (note rather excellent album sleeve)

Matana Roberts

She's back. New album out 30th September on Constellation Records. COIN COIN Chapter Two: Mississippi Moonchile. She has a wonderful distinct womans voice, and I've loved her music since I first heard her years ago. Like many of my faves she's rooted in jazz but gone into a whole 'nother place.

Land of Kush - The Big Mango

Jazz, a loveletter to Cairo, via Senegal, Brazil and played by Canadians with a rock sensibility. It's no wonder that Sublime Frequencies' Alan Bishop likes this one. to be released by Constellation Records on 30th September 2013.
