Dirty Fences - Judy (don't go) + album + tour

Thought this was gonna be garage at first, but about 1 minute in it transmogrifies into a glam-anthem of immense proportions!

Their album came out in May on Slovenly Records and with this title there was no way they weren't gonna get posted

and they are on tour!

There's a fascinating place where garage grease, blown-out ampage, and punker scree crashes into funk termite mounds and hip hop/pedal tech. The wonderful Black Gladiator and Permanent Record labels kinda focused me on the phenomenon, despite it's having been mouldering in my record collection/selection for decades. Lamont Thomas is right on that

that's from his latest platter as OBNOX - 'Louder Space' on 12XU Records.

The 'underground' can bee a shit crop of dick-drop, but Lamont's been around, and helped, and talks a lotta sense -"Good rock'n'roll is like bigfoot, you hear about it but you rarely see it" So see it -

New Coke - Duct Tape Your Mouth EP

Loved their first single, and now we have the new one courtesy of the mighty Slovenly Records/Black Gladiator. I played 'I am drunk, I have a gun, I want names' in last weeks show but it turns out there is a promo vid so here it is

They're from the Garage R'n'B end of things BUT there's way more intricacy than normal. I'd swear there were two guitarists but there's only the one guy! The bass also careens all over the place. Gives them an 'expanded' sort of sound...punch & jangle...but also claustrophobic. Lyrics are very clever, but deeply disturbed, deviant, stressed and hateful!
